so yeah this week was pretty awesome !!!!! there is always the ups and downs of any week or any period of time I am just thankful to be able to see the miracles that god has permitted me to see. I love mateare in all of its wonderful small town tuaniness anyway. SO, Elder mendez is my first latino companion/ It is pretty cool that I speak spanish all day to everybody and yeah and like twenty words of english (who needs it anyway, it isnt a very cool language, just kidding) but yeah. The gift of tongues is real !!! but does not involve any strange mutterings and falling on the floor. The world is a beautiful place, you just have to look for the good in everything!!! cant wait to hear back from the family next week got a lot of work to do bye bye mundo!!

wow. this week has been quite a week, laughing at my companions random english exclamations (he is from guatemala and speaks really no english, understands a little though and we are working on that), going to places neither of us are familiar with trying to find people. eating more iguana soup. more of the usual digestive issues. and just loving life from the fresh mangos to the beautiful landscape here even though it is the dry season and eveything is quite brown except trees and bushes. having lots of things not work out too well but being blessed in other areas we were not expecting like 51 people going to Church!!!!!!!! woo! yay! anyway it's pretty cool and I bought milk today so we are going to have some this week!! havent had milk in a while... dont worry I eat a lot but just different... they cook with lots of oil here... and I think I am gaining weight... going to try to convince my companion to start running with me in the morning!

I have been blessed by god many ways this week, and have seen his hand in many things and know that his hand directs this work. I just hope I am doing good enough for him. oh yeah, the church is true spanish is cool, and the libro de mormón changes lives yep thats the story. new week of new opportunities to do awesome things!!!!!!!!!!! like teach people about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ!!!
